for all people
Accessibility Statement
Last updated: October 16, 2026
1. Our Commitment
Nurture is a place where everyone can gather, and we want our website to feel the same way. We're working to make it usable for people of all abilities.
2. Conformance Status
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. We're continually working toward this goal, and some parts of the site may not yet fully meet it.
3. Measures We Take
- Clear page structure with meaningful headings.
- Text descriptions for meaningful images.
- Full keyboard navigation with visible focus outlines.
- Color contrast and large tap targets for easier reading and use.
- A "Pause motion" button at the bottom of every page that stops all moving content and auto-playing videos, and remembers your choice.
- Respecting "reduce motion" settings on tablets and computers. On phones, carousels keep moving so they work as designed, and the "Pause motion" button stops them.
- A video popup that keeps keyboard focus inside it, closes with the Escape key, and returns you to where you were.
- A skip link to jump straight to the page content, and one main heading per page.
- A cookie banner and email sign-up box that work fully by keyboard.
- Labeled form fields, and videos that never play sound on their own.
- Periodic reviews of the site.
4. Known Limitations
Some third-party content, such as the embedded Google Map, may not be fully accessible. Our reel videos do not currently have captions. We're happy to share directions or any information from the site another way.
5. Feedback and Assistance
If you run into a barrier, please email us at nurturebasslake@gmail.com or stop by the shop at 54354 Rd 432, Bass Lake, CA 93604. We aim to respond within [RESPONSE TIME, e.g. 5 business days].
